| We carry a number of useful safety products, and the Water-JEL® fire blankets are very useful. These products consist of a fire blanket inside of a canister. Each canister comes with a large fire blanket, and it's large enough to completely cover a patient. Although they work well for this purpose, these fire blankets are just as useful for extinguishing flames. They can be used to smother smoldering clothes, and in some cases, they might even be used to extinguish white phosphorous. The canisters that the blankets come in are durable and easy to identify. The blanket is stored inside of the canister because the canister offers protection against outside elements. The plastic container has a handle, and it can be stored inside of a convenient location or mounted to a surface. If you decide to mount it, you'll need the Water-JEL® mounting bracket #TM-10. The directions for using the blanket are labeled on the canister, so nobody is forced to guess how to use it. The shelf life of these products is five years, so even if you don't end up using it immediately after purchase, it will last long enough to be used at a later date. Fire blankets are great products to own because they can be used to extinguish small fires. Since these are full-size blankets, they can cover your whole body, and they can be very effective at extinguishing smoldering flames and small fires. |
