The Elk River® Master Series Zorber™ shock-absorbing lanyards have a 2.5-inch opening. These lanyards are appropriate for most worksites. Once attached to an anchor point or lifeline, they can help keep workers safe. The purpose of these products is to protect workers from an accidental fall. Since these lanyards are capable of shock absorption, they can nullify the energy produced by a fall. By eliminating fall energy, they're able to dramatically reduce the risk of injury. These products have a snaphook on one end, and a Centurion™ auto-lock rebar hook on the other. Both types of hooks are extremely durable and will keep workers safe. Lanyards are made from flexible rope, and they have a connector at each end. The purpose of the connectors is to make the lanyard attachable to a fall arrestor, anchorage or energy absorber. Like the products on this page, most lanyards have a six-foot length. Depending on the applications they've been designed for, some lanyards feature an adjustable length. For most industries, the maximum free fall allowed by OSHA is six feet, which is why most lanyards have a six-foot length. The Elk River® Master Series Zorber™ lanyards are made from nylon material, so they offer great elasticity and high strength. The only problem with nylon material is that is absorbs much more water than other materials, which can reduce the strength of the material. |
