Texas America Safety Company has many different types of hard hats that can be used in the reverse positions and still meet ANSI Type I regulations. The most convenient type of backwards hard hat uses the swing suspension. The swing suspension can be adjusted without having to remove the suspension from the hard hat. The Fas-Trac and Ratchet type of suspensions will need to be removed and replaced in the reverse position.

Wearing a backwards ANSI approved hard hat is a valuable time saver for welders who need to wear a faceshield in addition to their hard hats. These reverse hard hat meet all applicable requirements for a Type I (top impact) helmet as outlined in ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2009 and CSA Z94.1-2005
