What would you recommend for the best shipping method?
That mostly depends on how much the order weights. If it is a fairly small and weighs under 1 pound inside the United States, territories of the U.S., and U.S. military bases, US First Class Mail is the fastest and least expensive method.

We generally recommend UPS shipping for larger orders, and to businesses. That way we can check the tracking at any time. Fed-Ex shipping works best for small residential orders throughout the U.S. with tracking numbers.

For oversea orders, the recommended method is U.S. International mail. It is about half the cost of UPS overseas, and still reliable.

Is there any additional shipping and handling costs?
Absolutely not... Our shipping charges are actual shipping cost. We do not add any small order charges or other handling cost. Handling charges are just another way some companies boost their bottom line. They drive us crazy too.

When will my order arrive?
That's a good question. Generally, 95% of the orders will ship out within one business day. The delivery more or less depends on where the products are shipping. Most of our products ship from central Texas; therefore, most of the Midwest and South delivers in 1-3 business days. If you are on the West or East coast, it may take 3-5 business days. Don't forget that Saturday and Sunday are not delivery days. If you are in a rush, you may want to step the orders up to Next Day, Second Day, or Third day delivery. How can I track the progress of my order?
All Internet orders are confirmed with an automated e-mail tracking number at the end of the afternoon. This response will have a tracking number for UPS and Fed-Ex packages, and a confirmation of a priority mail. Priority mail should take 2-3 business days, however, they do not have tracking numbers.

If you didn't receive a tracking number or confirmation, please just send us an e-mail at sales@tasco-safety.com with the order number and customer name, and we'll find out where the package is.

Can I ship overseas?
You bet… We have several different oversea shipping options. The least expensive is U.S. International First Class Mail for packages that weigh less than 4 pounds (allow 3-5 weeks by this method). Next best would be US Global Express Mail that takes about 1-2 weeks.

Of course, the UPS choices are a little faster, and have brokers to send the orders through if problems arise. UPS is much more expensive.

One other note, if you are a territory of the U.S., be sure to choose the Priority Mail method. It is by far the cheapest and quickest way to ship your products. UPS calculates the rates to U.S. territories as an oversea order, and charges quite a bit more.

How can I ship to an oversea military base?
We send many orders to oversea military bases. The best way is to use good old fashion "Priority Mail". This method will send the package through the U.S. mail system. UPS considers oversea bases as an oversea order, and thus charges a much higher fee. If its going to an APO or FPO address, Priority Mail is by far the way to go.

Who do I notify if there is a shipping problem?
Let's face it. From time to time, orders get mis-shipped by us, lost by the shipping company, or who knows what all. Once you receive your confirmation with the tracking number, you can pretty much guarantee that it will be there in a week. If it has been over 7 days there may be a problem. In addition, UPS tracking number are provided via e-mail and should be able to show the status of the current shipment. If it was sent by priority mail, it should take about 3-4 business days. Any problems, just send us an e-mail at this address, or just give us a call.

How do I choose an alternate shipping method?
Once you add an order to your shopping cart, one of the first questions you will be asked is where the products are to be shipped. At this time, you can fill in your desired shipping method.

Once you are on the final order page, you can still experiment with the shipping options to find the best choice.

How long will it take to process and ship the order?
Most of the time, the orders ship out the same business day. Generally, the shipping company picks up at about 4:00 P.M. central time. We accept orders up to 3:30 and can still ship the same day. All orders placed after 3:30 P.M. are shipped the next day. One more important note, orders placed late Friday are processed on Monday morning. UPS does not pick up or deliver on Saturday and Sunday at this time.
If the order cannot be shipped within two days, we will send a courtesy e-mail notifying you of the back order. We'll do what we can to speed up the delivery of all our orders.

How much do I have to order for it to be freight paid?
That's a good question. Generally all orders on the Internet site over $500 are freight paid. This does not include glove orders, powder drink, and rain suits. Basically, these products are very heavy and difficult to ship. These products are freight paid at $1500. We are flexible with mixed orders and will do what we can to keep the shipping costs down. The good news is that Internet orders are tax free outside of our home state of Texas, which more or less covers the cost of the freight.

Can you ship to a P.O. Box?
Certainly… P.O. Boxes work great, but you need to remember that UPS and Fed-Ex will not deliver to a P.O. Box. The only method that does is U.S. Priority Mail or U.S. First Class Mail.
